Senior Interior Designer | Corporate Workplace

Job Summary
We are seeking a Senior Interior Designer to join a growing corporate and workplace interiors team in New York City. This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced design professional with strong workplace interiors experience, confident client facing skills, and the ability to lead design teams across a variety of corporate and commercial projects.
You will lead diverse corporate interior projects, mentor design teams, and contribute from early programming and concept design through design development, documentation, and construction support.
Job Responsibilities
- Attend business presentations and assist in scripting presentations
- Interface directly with clients throughout the design phase
- Oversee and mentor design teams
- Develop preliminary programs of requirements
- Develop space standards
- Create test fits, schematic plans, program analysis, and basic code analysis
- Prepare design scope and budget documentation for budget analysis
- Develop three dimensional design concepts, including lighting, furniture, finishes, and equipment
- Coordinate design requirements with clients, consultants, and project teams
- Organise, prepare, and participate in design presentations
- Select, present, and specify furniture, finishes, and accessories
- Lead furniture showroom tours
- Prepare furniture bid documents and analyse responses
- Review furniture dealer specifications
- Coordinate design development packages for construction documents, including equipment specifications and profile sketches for special construction and millwork details
- Assist in reviewing engineering documents to ensure compliance with design intent
- Assist with construction bid analysis and value engineering
- Review shop drawings and submittals for design intent
- Conduct periodic site visits during construction
Requirements
- Minimum of 10 years of continuous design experience in corporate, commercial, or workplace interiors
- Expert proficiency in Revit, AutoCAD, and Adobe Creative Suite
- Experience creating photo realistic renderings using Enscape and AI driven visualisation tools
- Experience specifying systems furniture and ancillary furniture
- Understanding of schematic design, design development, and contract documents
- Excellent verbal, written, interpersonal, and communication skills
- Strong leadership and client facing skills
- Strong organisational skills and attention to detail
- Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast paced design environment
