An HRSG Process Specialist is required for a technical process engineering role supporting the design, performance and reliable operation of Heat Recovery Steam Generators within the power generation sector.
This is a hybrid role based in Fenton, MO, with the opportunity to work on complex HRSG design, field performance issues, process improvement and technical problem-solving across modern combined cycle power plant applications.

The HRSG Process Specialist / Process Engineer / Thermal Design Engineer Role:
- Analyse process-related field issues and identify accurate root causes.
- Prepare clear technical reports covering diagnosis, recommendations and mitigation.
- Support teams across the business with HRSG process design and technical problem-solving.
- Review current design concepts, process approaches and technical execution.
- Evaluate the technical acceptability of new design concepts.
- Lead or contribute to cross-functional studies to improve existing technology or assess new technology.
- Coordinate updates to process design programs, policies, philosophies and procedures.
- Capture best practice in written summaries and share technical knowledge across the organisation.
HRSG Process Specialist / Process Engineer / Thermal Design Engineer Requirements:
- Experience as an HRSG Process Specialist, Process Engineer, Thermal Design Engineer, Mechanical Engineer, Chemical Engineer or similar power generation engineering role.
- Four-year degree required; BSME or BSChE preferred.
- At least 12 years of experience in power generation.
- Experience with combined cycle power plants or HRSG OEM environments is preferred.
- Strong understanding of process engineering principles, including heat transfer, thermodynamics, fluid dynamics and control logic.
- Experience developing technical papers, presentations, design programs or engineering procedures.
- Ability to manage complex technical customer negotiations independently.
- Experience leading internal or external task teams and driving timely technical outcomes.
- Confident working with executive management and stakeholders across all levels of an organisation.
- Strong written communication, verbal communication, data interpretation and problem-solving skills.
- Willingness to travel domestically and internationally up to 20%.
