Are you someone who brings calm, compassion, and organization to every interaction? We are looking for a Part-Time Administrative Assistant to serve as the welcoming face and voice of our location. This role is perfect for someone who enjoys helping others, staying organized, and creating a warm, professional atmosphere.
What You’ll Do:
- Greet families, guests, and vendors warmly and professionally
- Answer and route phone calls, take messages, and provide general information
- Maintain the cleanliness and organization of the front desk and reception area
- Support administrative tasks including data entry, filing, and scheduling
- Assist with event or service coordination as needed
- Handle sensitive situations and information with empathy and discretion
- Perform other duties as assigned to support the team
Glende-Nilson Funeral Home is part of Vertin, a privately held organization, headquartered in Minnesota, with 8 state locations.
- Excellent communication skills. You will be answering phones, emails, and greeting customers.
- Technical skills (working with MS Office suite and other various systems).
- Previous office management or administrative assistant experience.
- Accounting and/or graphic design experience a plus.
