Our client is seeking a Territory Manager to drive sales growth across Central Florida by developing new business, expanding market share, and building strong relationships with contractors and existing customers. This role requires a highly motivated sales professional with proven experience selling roofing products and established relationships with roofing contractors, general contractors, builders, and distributors within the territory.
The successful candidate will leverage their industry network to identify and close new business, manage a robust sales pipeline, maintain consistent customer engagement, and achieve or exceed established sales goals. Key performance metrics include territory revenue, gross profit margin, new account acquisition, and overall market penetration.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and execute a strategic sales plan to grow market share and achieve territory sales objectives.
- Utilize existing relationships with roofing contractors, general contractors, builders, and distributors to generate new business opportunities.
- Prospect, qualify, and acquire new customers while maintaining strong relationships with existing accounts.
- Conduct regular customer visits, jobsite meetings, product demonstrations, and contractor training sessions.
- Prepare accurate product quotations and consistently follow up to secure business opportunities.
- Maintain an active sales pipeline and customer call schedule to maximize revenue growth.
- Partner with distribution channels and key stakeholders to increase product awareness and sales.
- Track customer activity, project opportunities, competitive intelligence, and market trends within the territory.
- Manage sales activities through CRM systems and provide accurate sales forecasts and reporting.
- Consistently achieve or exceed sales, gross profit, and new account targets.
Required Qualifications
- Minimum 3 years of outside sales experience in the roofing, construction, or building products industry.
- Proven experience selling roofing products, roofing systems, or related construction materials.
- Established network and warm contacts with: Roofing contractors, General contractors, and Builders.
- Demonstrated ability to develop new business and expand existing customer relationships.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills with customers, vendors, management, and team members.
- Proven success in preparing quotations, negotiating opportunities, and closing sales.
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to prioritize activities and meet sales goals.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office and CRM software.
- Valid driver's license and ability to travel throughout Central Florida.
