FP&A Analyst/Associate (Financial Modelling Focus)
Location: Houston, Denver, Miami or Southern California
A high-growth, capital-intensive energy and resources platform is strengthening its finance capability and looking to appoint an Analyst /Associate with a strong financial modelling background.
This is a high-visibility role within a business at a critical stage of development, where finance plays a central role in shaping commercial outcomes and strategic direction.
The Opportunity
You will sit within the core finance function, working closely with senior leadership on modelling, forecasting and strategic analysis. This is not a reporting role. It is hands-on, commercially relevant and tied directly to decision making.
Key Responsibilities
• Build and maintain detailed financial models across the business
• Develop operating and capital expenditure forecasts
• Support long-range planning and integrated business planning
• Deliver scenario analysis and investment evaluation work
• Contribute to capital allocation and commercial decision making
• Produce board-level materials and outputs
• Partner with senior stakeholders on strategic initiatives
Candidate Profile
• 2–5 years’ experience in investment banking, private equity, corporate finance, FP&A or similar
• Strong financial modelling capability with clear examples of models built from scratch
• Advanced Excel skills and high attention to detail
• Comfortable operating in a fast-moving, growth environment
• Able to translate complex analysis into clear, decision-ready outputs
• Experience in Mining / Energy / Oil & Gas or broader Natural Resources preferred.
