SUMMARY: The Visual Brand Merchandiser serves as a strategic cross-functional leader, partnering closely with senior heads of Visual, Merchandising, Sales, and Marketing to shape and execute the brand’s holistic visual, wholesale and product-knowledge strategy. This role is responsible for developing best-in-class visual standards, product-knowledge (PK) strategy, and DOR strategy, while training and elevating the field visual team to ensure consistent, high-impact execution across all wholesale partners. With a strong blend of creative direction and business acumen, the role drives alignment between visual storytelling and commercial goals—owning processes, optimizing performance, and being accountable for delivering at least 5% growth through improved visual strategy, operational excellence, and elevated brand presentation. The Preferred Candidate will live in the New York City area.

Key Responsibilities
- Strategic Visual Execution:
- Interpret and implement global visual directives to create cohesive, high-impact brand experiences that align with corporate strategy, senior leadership priorities, and local market opportunities.
- Cross-Functional Senior Leadership Partnership:
- Collaborate closely with department heads across Visual, Merchandising, Sales, and Marketing to build unified seasonal strategies, influence business decisions, and ensure all visual initiatives support broader organizational goals.
- PK Department Strategy Development:
- Lead the creation and evolution of the Product Knowledge (PK) strategy, developing best-in-class training content and partnering with senior leaders to define department-wide visual and DOR strategies.
- Best Practices Process Leadership:
- Establish, document, and refine visual merchandising best practices and operational processes that elevate execution, maximize efficiency, and drive consistency across all wholesale partners and field teams.
- Training & Development:
- Design and execute comprehensive training programs for field teams and store staff — focused on PK, selling strategies, DOR expectations, visual standards, and brand presentation — to strengthen capability and performance.
- Field Leadership:
- Coach, and inspire the field visual team to deliver flawless execution of initiatives, fostering a culture rooted in creativity, accountability, continuous improvement, and strategic thinking.
- Performance Optimization Growth Accountability:
- Use data-driven insights to balance creativity with commercial performance, adjusting visual priorities to maximize profitability. Own visual and process strategies that contribute to delivering a minimum 5% growth across assigned doors.
- Market Insight:
- Continuously track competitive trends, consumer behavior, and market shifts to identify opportunities for differentiation and to proactively inform field and brand strategy.
Qualifications:
- 4 years of experience leading visual strategy and execution within fast-paced retail or wholesale environments; multi-unit and cross-functional leadership strongly preferred.
- Deep expertise in luxury and contemporary fashion markets, with a refined eye for design, brand storytelling, and elevated customer experience.
- Proven strategic thinker with the ability to translate brand vision into cohesive, large-scale visual programs while maintaining operational excellence.
- Exceptional communication, leadership, and influencing skills, with a demonstrated ability to inspire diverse teams and drive alignment across departments.
- Strong business acumen, with the ability to connect visual strategy to financial performance, customer insights, and broader brand objectives.
- Highly creative, innovative, and solutions-oriented, with a track record of driving results through collaboration, agility, and forward-thinking approaches.
- Comfortable leading transformation and scaling new processes, leveraging data, technology, and emerging trends to enhance brand visibility and impact.
