What You'll Do:
- Research, recommend, and implement changes to enhance information systems security and monitoring capabilities.
- Engineer solutions (processes and technologies) to mitigate control gaps.
- Present proposed solutions to IT management.
- Coordinate with vendors for proof-of-concept, proof-of-value, and pilot exercises.
- Review information systems to identify potential security weaknesses and recommend improvements to reduce vulnerabilities.
- Participate in on-call rotation to triage potential security incidents.
- Contribute to network and systems design to ensure implementation of appropriate security policies.
- Maintain and grow knowledge of information security, risk management, and regulatory compliance topics.
- Provide occasional after-hours and weekend support for project efforts.
- Act as a mentor for junior engineers.
- Collaborate with Cintas partners to design, build, and deploy security frameworks.
- High school diploma/GED required; Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or related IT area, preferred
- Minimum 7 years of experience in Information Technology
- Minimum 4 years of experience in Information Security
- Strong knowledge of cyber security practices and procedures
- Strong knowledge of networking and infrastructure best practices
- Ability to act as the primary SME for Cloud Security
- Strong working knowledge of the CSF Framework
- Strong working knowledge of GCP, GCVE required; Azure preferred
- Industry certifications (e.g., GCP, ACE)
