Job Summary: The Center at Waterfront is seeking a dedicated and skilled Cook to join our dietary team. You will be responsible for preparing delicious, nutritious, and safe meals for our residents, ensuring all dietary restrictions and preferences are met in a skilled nursing environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Prepare and cook a variety of menu items for breakfast, lunch, and dinner, following recipes and production sheets.
- Adhere strictly to therapeutic diets (e.g., low sodium, diabetic, pureed) and texture-modified diets.
- Ensure all food preparation and storage complies with HACCP, DOH, and facility sanitation standards.
- Monitor food quality, presentation, and portion control.
- Maintain a clean and organized kitchen, including equipment and work areas.
- Collaborate with the dietary team to ensure timely and efficient meal service.
Qualifications:
- Proven experience as a Cook, preferably in a healthcare, long-term care, or institutional setting.
- Knowledge of food safety and sanitation regulations (ServSafe certification preferred).
- Ability to read and follow recipes and dietary instructions accurately.
- Strong communication and teamwork skills.
