Job Description
We are seeking a skilled Tableau Developer to join our team and drive the transformation of business data into actionable insights. The ideal candidate will have strong experience in migrating reports from SSRS to Tableau, designing interactive dashboards, and optimizing data pipelines to enhance decision-making capabilities across the organization.
Key Responsibilities
- Migrate and redesign existing SSRS reports into Tableau dashboards, improving data visualization, insights, and overall user experience.
- Create, optimize, and maintain complex SQL queries, views, and materialized views in Databricks for effective data extraction, transformation, and reporting.
- Design and develop interactive dashboards and visualizations in Tableau Desktop that align with business requirements.
- Perform thorough data validation, testing, and troubleshooting to ensure data accuracy, integrity, and consistency.
- Publish, schedule, and manage reports and dashboards on Tableau Server, ensuring high performance and accessibility.
- Implement data security measures, including row-level security, within Tableau reports to meet project and compliance requirements.
- Collaborate closely with business stakeholders to gather requirements and translate them into efficient, user-friendly BI solutions.
- Stay updated with best practices and innovations in Tableau and BI development to continuously enhance reporting capabilities.
Required Qualifications/Skills
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
- Proven experience as a Tableau Developer or BI Developer with strong portfolio of dashboards.
- Strong proficiency in SQL and working with Databricks or similar data platforms.
- Experience with SSRS report migration to Tableau.
- Hands-on experience with Tableau Desktop and Tableau Server, including scheduling, publishing, and security setup.
- Knowledge of data warehousing, ETL processes, and BI best practices.
- Excellent problem-solving, analytical, and communication skills to interact effectively with stakeholders.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced, collaborative environment and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
