We are seeking an experienced Tableau Administrator/Developer with over 5 years of hands-on experience in Tableau Administration, Tableau Desktop, and SQL. The ideal candidate will possess a strong understanding of data warehousing concepts, data governance, and security best practices. This role involves managing Tableau environments, supporting a large user base, and ensuring optimal performance and availability of Tableau services.
Your role
- Administer Tableau Server and Tableau Online environments.
- Create and manage user groups, organize workbooks, dashboards, and data sources within sites and projects.
- Perform regular maintenance, upgrades, and performance tuning of Tableau environments.
- Troubleshoot and resolve issues related to Tableau dashboards, data sources, and server performance.
- Collaborate with BI developers and data engineers to ensure seamless data integration and visualization.
- Monitor usage and performance metrics to optimize Tableau resources.
- Implement and enforce data governance, security, and privacy best practices.
- Support and manage Tableau in Application Maintenance (AM) and Support projects with a large user base.
- Document processes, configurations, and best practices.
- 5 years of proven experience with Tableau Administration and Desktop.
- Strong SQL skills and experience with data warehousing concepts.
- Experience managing Tableau environments with a large number of users.
- Solid understanding of data governance, security, and privacy standards.
- Proven track record of designing and implementing scalable data solutions.
- Excellent troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
- Strong communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to explain technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
- Tableau certification (e.g., Tableau Desktop Certified Professional, Tableau Server Certified Associate).
- Experience with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, or GCP) and Tableau Cloud.
- Familiarity with scripting languages (Python, PowerShell) for automation.
