The ideal candidate will work collaboratively with leaders, data architects, business analysts, and developers to understand reporting requirements and deliver high-quality Tableau dashboards and data solutions aligned with business needs. This role involves maintaining and enhancing existing reporting environments, data sources, and visualizations, with a strong focus on performance, data accuracy, and usability.
Key Responsibilities:
- Collaborate with leaders, architects, analysts, and internal customers to understand and define BI/reporting requirements.
- Develop, maintain, and enhance Tableau dashboards, data visualizations, data sources, and extracts.
- Troubleshoot and resolve data or performance issues; identify and implement effective optimizations.
- Create detailed documentation including dashboard specs, data source definitions, and estimated delivery timelines.
- Research and integrate new Tableau features, data visualization techniques, and automation tools to improve efficiency and user adoption.
- Support the development and enforcement of BI/data governance standards, best practices, and security guidelines.
- Work closely with data engineers and architects to ensure alignment with enterprise-wide data strategy and architecture.
Minimum Requirements:
- Education: Bachelor s degree in Computer Science, Data Analytics, Information Systems, Mathematics, or related field (or equivalent experience).
- Experience: 1 5 years of professional experience designing, developing, and deploying Tableau dashboards and data models in a production environment.
Technical Skills:
- Tableau Desktop & Tableau Server / Tableau Cloud required
- Experience creating and publishing interactive dashboards, extracts, data sources, and calculated fields
- Strong proficiency in SQL for data extraction, transformation, and optimization
- Understanding of data modeling, star schema, joins, relationships, and ETL concepts
- Experience connecting Tableau to multiple data sources (SQL Server, Excel, Snowflake, API, etc.)
- Familiarity with version control, dashboard deployment, and promoting content across environments
Preferred Qualifications:
- Tableau certifications (Tableau Desktop Specialist, Certified Associate, etc.)
- Experience with ETL tools (e.g., Alteryx, SSIS, Talend, Informatica)
- Experience with cloud data platforms (Snowflake, Redshift, Azure, Google Cloud Platform, etc.)
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Ability to work effectively in a collaborative, Agile team environment
