Job Description
- Lead the migration and redesign of existing SSRS reports into Tableau dashboards, enhancing business insights and user experience.
- Design, develop, and maintain interactive dashboards and visualizations using Tableau Desktop based on business and technical requirements.
- Write and optimize complex SQL queries, views, and materialized views in Databricks for effective data extraction, transformation, and reporting.
- Conduct thorough data validation, testing, and troubleshooting to ensure the accuracy, consistency, and integrity of reporting outputs.
- Publish, schedule, and manage Tableau reports on Tableau Server, ensuring high performance and reliable access for end-users.
- Implement and manage data security practices, including row-level security in Tableau.
- Collaborate with business stakeholders to gather requirements, analyze needs, and translate them into efficient, scalable BI solutions.
- Mentor and guide junior developers, ensuring best practices in BI development and data visualization.
- 7 years of hands-on experience with Tableau Desktop and Server in a lead developer role.
- Strong experience with SQL and working in cloud data platforms such as Databricks.
- Experience in migrating SSRS reports to Tableau.
- Ability to work directly with stakeholders and translate business needs into technical solutions.
- Solid understanding of data modeling, performance tuning, and data governance.
- Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
- Excellent communication and team collaboration skills.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience with MicroStrategy is a significant plus.
- Knowledge of BI architecture, data warehouse concepts, and ETL processes.
- Prior experience working in an onsite/WFO environment with cross-functional teams.
