Summary:
Verigent's client is seeking an experienced Avaya Telecom Engineer to support an enterprise Avaya environment in Austin, TX. This role is responsible for performing daily Moves, Adds, and Changes (MACs), user provisioning, endpoint configuration, troubleshooting, and ongoing administration of the enterprise voice infrastructure.
Responsibilities:
• Perform daily Moves, Adds, and Changes (MACs) within Avaya Communications Manager (CM).
• Configure and administer Avaya stations, extensions, hunt groups, vectors, VDNs, and coverage paths.
• Add, modify, and remove users, phones, and voicemail accounts.
• Troubleshoot telephony issues involving desk phones, softphones, voicemail, and call routing.
• Support Avaya Session Manager and System Manager administration as needed.
• Maintain accurate documentation of system changes and user records.
• Coordinate voice service requests with internal IT teams and business stakeholders.
• Monitor system performance and resolve voice-related incidents in a timely manner.
• Assist with firmware updates, endpoint replacements, and hardware installations.
• Follow established change management procedures and document all production changes.
• Provide Tier II/Tier III support for enterprise voice services.
Qualifications:
• 3 years of hands-on experience supporting Avaya enterprise voice environments.
• Strong experience administering: Avaya Communications Manager (CM), Avaya System Manager, and/or Avaya Session Manager.
• Experience performing Moves, Adds, and Changes (MACs) in a production environment.
• Knowledge of SIP and H.323 telephony protocols.
