Job Title: Senior Physician Assistant – Roseville Urgent Care/Emergency (Evening/32 or 36)

Location: Roseville, CA 95661

Shift: Evening – 32 or 36 hours/week

Week 1: Sun 9:30 AM – 6:00 PM, Mon, Thu, Fri 12:30 PM – 8:30 PM

Week 2: Mon, Tue, Wed 12:30 PM – 8:30 PM, Sat 9:30 AM – 6:00 PM

Responsibilities

The Senior Physician Assistant (PA) provides high-quality, efficient, team-based, patient-focused care under the supervision of a physician. Responsibilities may include managing patients in office, hospital, ED, and perioperative settings, assisting in surgeries, performing department-specific procedures, and mentoring less experienced Client. Evening and weekend responsibilities are required. This role requires strong experience in acute care, urgent care, or emergency medicine and the ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment. Key Responsibilities:

• Perform comprehensive physical examinations, review patient history, and compile medical data
• Administer or order diagnostic tests (labs, imaging, ECGs) and interpret results
• Perform therapeutic procedures: injections, immunizations, suturing, wound care, infection management
• Develop and implement patient management plans and document progress in EMR
• Educate and counsel patients and families regarding post-procedure care, treatment plans, and preventive health
• Facilitate admissions, transfers, and discharges as needed
• First assist in surgeries or perform other department-specific procedures
• Round on inpatients and perform pre- and post-operative evaluations
• Mentor and guide less experienced Physician Assistants
• Collaborate with supervising physician, manager, and department members on performance improvement initiatives
  
  

Minimum Qualifications:

• Minimum 3 years of Physician Assistant experience in Urgent Care or Emergency Department within the last 5 years
• Graduate of an ARC-PA accredited Physician Assistant program
• California Physician Assistant License – Required at hire
• National Provider Identifier (NPI) – Required at hire
• Physician Assistant National Certificate (e.g., NCCPA) – Required at hire
• Basic Life Support (BLS) – Required
  
  

Additional Requirements:

• Fluoroscopy Permit required or must be obtained within 18 months (Orthopedics, Interventional Radiology, Radiation Oncology only)
• Department-specific procedure competency may be required
• Must work in a Labor/Management Partnership environment
• Must be able to work onsite; relocation assistance is not provided
