The Senior Specialist, Electrical Engineer (RF) will support military communication products throughout their lifecycle—from pre-release through obsolescence. This role is part of the Product Support Engineering team and focuses on troubleshooting, root cause analysis, and corrective actions for RF/Analog, Digital, SMT, test, and assembly-related issues.
The engineer will collaborate with cross-functional teams to diagnose problems to component-level, conduct simulations/experiments, and improve product yields, quality, and manufacturability. The role will also support new product introductions by assisting design engineering with prototype troubleshooting and launch readiness.

Key Responsibilities
- Support military communication products from pre-release through lifecycle management
- Investigate and troubleshoot issues related to:
- RF / Analog circuits
- Digital systems
- SMT and assembly processes
- Production test failures
- Diagnose failures down to component level, determine root cause and implement corrective actions
- Support New Product Introduction (NPI):
- troubleshoot prototypes
- resolve design/manufacturing issues
- enable successful ramp to production
- Mitigate component shortages and obsolescence by:
- qualifying alternatives
- redesigning circuits/sub-assemblies if required
- Drive design, process, and test improvements to improve:
- yield
- quality
- manufacturability / testability (DFx)
- Work with vendors, Quality, and Supply Chain to resolve material discrepancies
- Lead investigations and guide junior engineers; coordinate tasks and priorities
- Create presentations for management regarding:
- technical investigations
- improvements
- cost savings
- Strong hardware troubleshooting skills including analog RF components/circuits
- Ability to work independently with general supervision
- Ability to design and conduct engineering experiments and act on test results
- Circuit design and analysis using tools such as:
- ADS
- MATLAB
- additional simulation/design tools
- Experience leading small technical troubleshoot/design teams
- Comfortable working in fast-paced manufacturing and engineering environments
- Ability to analyze designs and communicate technical information to support staff

- 4 years of RF experience required
- Must be eligible to obtain US Security Clearance
- Electrical Engineering Degree preferred
- Experience with:
