Maintenance Repair Technician (CNC) - 2nd Shift to support the maintenance, troubleshooting, and repair of CNC and industrial production equipment. This role focuses on diagnosing electrical and mechanical issues, performing repairs, and ensuring equipment operates safely and efficiently in a manufacturing environment.
What You'll Do
- Tear down equipment, determine extent of issues, repair damaged electrical or mechanical mechanisms, replace worn or defective parts, and reassemble equipment in compliance with safety regulations.
- Apply machine repair theory and electrical theory to diagnose and repair CNC and production equipment.
- Perform electrical testing and troubleshooting activities.
- Adjust equipment to required specifications and verify effective operation.
- Check machine cycle sequences and determine root causes of malfunctions.
- Work from complex schematic diagrams, blueprints, manuals, and testing procedures.
- Troubleshoot defective printed circuit assembly boards (PCBs).
- Perform related electrical or mechanical maintenance duties as directed.
- Detect and report unusual or complex issues to appropriate supervision.
- Use sound judgment to comply with prescribed procedures and make maintenance decisions.
- High school diploma or equivalent from an accredited institution.
- Journeyman level or minimum 3 years of manufacturing maintenance experience in an industrial electrical/mechanical trade.
- Experience with:
- Ladder logic circuit diagrams
- Industrial motor control schematics
- Blueprint and schematic reading
- Basic understanding of PLC logic.
- Authorized to work in the United States without company sponsorship.
- Hands-on CNC maintenance experience.
- Background in machining and industrial electrical equipment.
- Two-year degree in electronics with mechanical experience or military electronics experience.
- Experience with hydraulic systems.
- 3 years of manufacturing maintenance experience or related degree with 1 year of experience
- Experience with ladder logic circuit diagrams
- Experience with CNC maintenance
- Electrical and mechanical troubleshooting
