As a Senior Manufacturing Engineer, you will:
- Lead development of manufacturing processes for new aerospace components
- Drive Design for Manufacturing (DFM) initiatives across engineering teams
- Create, validate, and prove out 5-Axis CNC programs, operation sequences, work holding concepts, tooling/gauge lists, and detailed work instructions
- Provide hands-on support to improve existing production processes through shop-floor engagement
- Estimate time standards, labor ratios, and economic run quantities for complex parts
- Generate detailed cost estimates for new business pursuits and process improvements
- Evaluate, justify, and implement new capital equipment and manufacturing technologies
- Collaborate daily with engineers, technicians, operations, quality teams, and suppliers to resolve process issues
- Mentor peers and junior engineers; provide technical leadership
- Lead manufacturing engineering projects and potentially own the engineering scope of a dedicated manufacturing cell
- Support and optimize automated manufacturing cells to reduce labor content and process variability
To be considered for this role, you must have:
- Education & Experience (any one of the following):
- Bachelor's degree in a technical field with 5 years of relevant experience
- Associate degree with 8 years of relevant experience
- High School Diploma/GED with 10 years of proven professional experience
- Strong experience in 5-Axis CNC Milling programming using CAD/CAM systems (NX preferred)
- Proven end-to-end process engineering experience (raw material to finished product)
- Hands-on machining experience, including machine setup and operation
- Expertise machining aluminum, titanium, stainless steel, and similar aerospace materials
- Strong knowledge of cutting tools, work holding, and fixture design
- Excellent communication, documentation, and technical writing skills
- Project management experience
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office tools (Word, Excel, etc.)
