The Senior Specialist, Electrical Engineer (RF Design) will be part of the Product Support Engineering team, responsible for investigating and resolving complex engineering issues related to RF and analog systems, SMT assemblies, and test processes.
This role requires strong technical expertise in radio transmitter and receiver design, along with the ability to troubleshoot hardware to the component level. The engineer will collaborate with cross-functional teams including design engineering, manufacturing, and product development to diagnose problems, perform simulations and experiments, and implement corrective actions.
The position also involves mentoring junior engineers and supporting new product introductions.

Key Responsibilities
Technical Investigation & Troubleshooting
- Investigate RF, analog, assembly, SMT, and test-related engineering issues.
- Troubleshoot units, modules, and circuit boards down to the component level.
- Analyze failures and determine root causes using engineering analysis and testing.
- Develop and implement corrective design solutions.
- Design and analyze circuits using engineering tools such as ADS, MATLAB, and other simulation tools.
- Conduct engineering experiments and evaluate test results.
- Provide technical analysis and recommendations for system improvements.
- Collaborate with design engineering and manufacturing teams during product development.
- Support new product introductions (NPI) by identifying design issues before and during launch.
- Assist in circuit modifications and design improvements.
- Address component shortages by qualifying alternative components or redesigning circuits and sub-assemblies.
- Work with engineering and procurement teams to ensure continued production support.
- Provide guidance and mentoring to junior engineering staff.
- Lead engineering investigations and coordinate cross-functional tasks.
- Communicate technical findings and recommendations to internal teams.
- Troubleshoot RF and analog circuits and hardware systems.
- Design and conduct engineering experiments and interpret results.
- Perform circuit analysis and simulation using engineering tools.
- Use laboratory equipment including:
- Oscilloscopes
- Digital Multimeters (DMM)
- Spectrum analyzers
- Network analyzers
- Signal generators
- Communicate complex technical information to engineering and support teams.
Additional Requirements:
- Experience in RF engineering and analog circuit design
