RN - Emergency Room professionals to join the Emergency Department team on a contractor basis. This role provides high-acuity care for ER patients in a fast-paced, trauma-capable environment. The RN will assess patients, execute care plans, coordinate across multidisciplinary teams, and ensure efficient patient throughput and compliance with hospital standards.
This is an onsite, night-shift clinical role requiring strong ER expertise and the ability to work independently in urgent and emergent situations.

Key Responsibilities
Clinical Care & Assessment
- Implement, evaluate, and monitor individualized patient care plans.
- Perform timely and comprehensive patient assessments.
- Document patient condition, interventions, vitals, and responses accurately.
- Serve as primary coordinator among physicians, nursing staff, and support teams to ensure well-coordinated patient care.
- Carry out physician and nursing orders precisely and promptly.
- Monitor, record, and communicate patient condition and changes to the healthcare team.
- Maintain accurate, timely charting in accordance with hospital policies.
- Assess patient discharge needs and collaborate with care teams to develop safe transition plans.
- Adhere to infection control, patient safety, and hospital regulatory standards.
- Maintain high-level professionalism and ethical conduct in all patient interactions.
Required Qualifications
- Minimum 5 years of Emergency Room nursing experience
- Experience in acute/critical care, trauma, or high-volume ER settings preferred
- Active Registered Nurse (RN) License - Rhode Island (or compact license eligible)
- BLS - Required
- ACLS / PALS / TNCC preferred but not mandatory
- Ability to work 12-hour night shifts
