Hiring Operating Room Registered Nurses (OR RN) to support high-quality surgical services and ensure safe, compliant perioperative patient care. The OR RN will play a key role in coordinating surgical procedures, preparing patients and equipment, maintaining sterile technique, supporting surgeons and anesthesia teams, and ensuring accurate documentation and patient safety throughout the perioperative process (pre-op, intra-op, post-op support).

This role requires strong clinical judgement, excellent teamwork, and the ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced surgical setting.

Key Responsibilities

• Provide direct perioperative nursing care in the Operating Room setting
• Prepare and assess surgical patients pre-operatively, confirming procedure, consent, and readiness
• Maintain patient safety and follow AORN standards and facility policies throughout surgical workflow
• Act as Circulating Nurse and/or Scrub Nurse (based on competency and unit needs)
• Assist with surgical prep including positioning, skin prep, sterile field setup, and instrument readiness
• Coordinate with surgeons, anesthesia providers, surgical techs, and perioperative teams
• Ensure strict compliance with infection control, sterile technique, and surgical safety checklist/time-out
• Monitor patient condition during surgery and respond to changes rapidly
• Manage specimens, surgical counts, implants, and required documentation
• Document all perioperative care accurately and timely in EMR
• Support efficient room turnover and stock/maintain supplies and equipment
• Participate in unit-based quality improvement and performance initiatives
  
  

Must-Have Requirements

Education: Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN) - Required

License: Active Arizona Registered Nurse (RN) License - Required

Experience: 1-2 years of RN experience required (OR/Perioperative preferred)

Preferred / Nice-to-Have

• Prior OR / Perioperative nursing experience (Scrub/Circulating)
• Knowledge of AORN standards and perioperative patient safety practices
• Experience with surgical services and intra-operative workflow
• ACLS certification (preferred)
• Strong communication and ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced surgical environment
