Key Responsibilities
Leadership & Operations
- Lead and manage L&D unit operations and staff
- Translate strategic goals into operational execution
- Ensure staffing, scheduling, and resource optimization
- Oversee 24/7 care delivery environment
- Ensure high-quality maternal and neonatal care delivery
- Monitor clinical outcomes and patient safety standards
- Support implementation of best practice care models
- Maintain compliance with regulatory standards
- Ensure compliance with Joint Commission, state, and federal regulations
- Lead quality improvement initiatives and performance metrics
- Support audits, reporting, and regulatory readiness
- Manage departmental budgets and cost control
- Oversee staffing, recruitment, and performance management
- Develop operational plans and performance benchmarks
- Partner with physicians and healthcare leaders
- Lead cross-functional initiatives and process improvements
- Support emergency preparedness and operational planning
- Minimum 5 years experience managing L&D unit (Hospital setting)
- Experience in high-volume L&D (400 deliveries/month)
- Bachelor's Degree in Nursing (BSN Required)
- Active RN License - California
- BLS & NRP Certifications
- Strong leadership and operational management skills
- Master's Degree in Nursing (MSN Preferred)
