Location: Portland, Oregon (Onsite)

Job Type: Full-Time | Night Shift

The Radiology Technologist with Charge Responsibilities will perform diagnostic imaging procedures while also taking on leadership duties during assigned shifts. This role includes managing workflow, supporting staff, ensuring patient safety, and delivering high-quality imaging services in a fast-paced hospital environment.

You will work within a collaborative care model focused on patient-centered, whole-person care at one of the leading healthcare systems in the Pacific Northwest.

Key Responsibilities

• Perform radiographic imaging procedures as per physician orders
• Ensure proper patient positioning, radiation safety, and image quality
• Maintain ALARA (As Low As Reasonably Achievable) radiation safety standards
• Take charge responsibilities including:
• Managing exam workflow and patient throughput
• Coordinating with multiple departments
• Supporting and training staff
• Addressing equipment and safety concerns
• Utilize clinical judgment to adapt imaging techniques based on patient needs
• Ensure compliance with hospital policies, safety protocols, and quality standards
• Maintain accurate documentation and patient records
  
  

Required Qualifications

• Education meeting certification/licensure requirements
• Oregon Radiographer License (or Temporary License) - Required upon hire
• ARRT Certification - Required within 6 months of hire
• BLS Certification (American Heart Association) - Required upon hire
• New graduates must obtain permanent licensure within 6 months
  
  

Preferred Qualifications

• Prior experience in a hospital radiology setting
• Leadership or charge experience (preferred but not mandatory)
• Strong communication and teamwork skills
• Ability to handle high patient volumes and critical situations
