Key Responsibilities
CT Imaging
- Perform advanced CT imaging exams following established protocols.
- Ensure high-quality cross-sectional images for diagnostic interpretation.
- Utilize appropriate radiation safety and dose-reduction techniques.
- Perform general X-ray, fluoroscopy, surgical imaging, and portable radiographic procedures.
- Assist radiologists and providers during interventional or contrast-enhanced studies.
- Prepare patients for procedures, explaining processes and addressing questions.
- Maintain patient comfort, safety, privacy, and infection control standards.
- Evaluate patient condition and modify procedures as needed based on clinical presentation.
- Operate CT scanners, radiographic units, and imaging software efficiently.
- Report equipment malfunctions and assist with troubleshooting.
- Document and manage imaging data using PACS/RIS systems.
- Ensure compliance with hospital, state, and federal guidelines (ACR, DOH, Joint Commission).
- Participate in quality improvement initiatives and continuing education.
Required
- Washington Radiologic Technologist Certification
- ARRT - Registered Technologist in Radiography (R.T.(R))
- BLS - American Heart Association
- CT Registry (ARRT - CT)
- Previous hospital-based CT experience
- Experience with multiple CT platforms (Client, Siemens, Philips, etc.)
- 1 year of CT imaging experience preferred (hospital environment ideal)
- Experience performing diagnostic X-ray and fluoroscopy
- New graduates may be considered if clinical training requirements are met
- Expertise in CT imaging principles & radiation safety
- Proficiency in diagnostic radiography and fluoroscopy
- Strong patient care and communication skills
- Ability to operate imaging equipment and PACS/RIS systems
- Critical thinking and adaptability in fast-paced environments
