W2-CONTRACT ROLE
Position Overview:
The selected candidate will play a key role in supporting the agency’s project management office (PMO) by establishing governance frameworks, managing project portfolios, and leading multiple IT-related initiatives. This is a senior-level role requiring both strategic oversight and hands-on project execution.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assist in the development and implementation of project governance policies and standards
- Manage and administer the agency’s project portfolio, ensuring alignment with business objectives
- Gather and document requirements for multiple backlogged and ongoing projects
- Lead and manage multiple IT projects from initiation through delivery
- Provide guidance and mentorship to a team of project managers
- Monitor project progress, risks, and dependencies to ensure timely delivery
- Prepare and present status reports to CIO and executive leadership
- Ensure adherence to PMO processes, methodologies, and best practices
Required Qualifications:
- Minimum 5 years of experience in IT Project/Program Management
- Strong understanding of IT project management methodologies and frameworks
- Experience working within a PMO environment
- Domain experience in Housing Finance and/or Budgeting
- Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills
- Proven ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously
