Controls Engineer - Albemarle, NC - Direct Hire
Minimum 3 years of Controls Engineering experience required
Venteon is currently seeking a Controls Engineer for a manufacturing company located in Albemarle, NC.
Requirements:
• Experience with PLC/HMI systems including Rockwell, Siemens, Mitsubishi, and Omron
• Strong troubleshooting experience with automated manufacturing equipment and controls systems
• Knowledge of industrial communication protocols including Ethernet, Profibus, DeviceNet, RS-232, and DH
• Ability to read and update electrical schematics
• Experience supporting robotics, hydraulics, pneumatics, and machine controls
• PC hardware and software troubleshooting experience
• Basic networking knowledge including TCP/IP, switches, routers, and cabling
• Experience with Windows systems, label printers, handheld scanners, and backup software
• AutoCAD experience preferred
• Visual Basic or related programming experience is a plus
Responsibilities:
• Troubleshoot, modify, and improve existing controls systems and robotic programs
• Support automated manufacturing equipment including molding, forming, paint, welding, and assembly systems
• Design and develop new machine controls and automation solutions
• Work closely with engineering, maintenance, and OEMs on equipment upgrades and controls issues
• Integrate barcode scanners, cameras, and poka-yoke systems into manufacturing equipment
• Support plant networking and controls infrastructure
• Identify continuous improvement and cost reduction opportunities
• Provide electrical support for injection molding systems and robotics
