Job Description:
We are seeking an experienced Solar Site Survey Technician to conduct detailed residential (and/or commercial) site surveys for solar installations. This role is critical in ensuring accurate system design, smooth installations, and a high-quality customer experience.
Responsibilities:
- Perform on-site solar site surveys for residential properties
- Collect accurate roof, attic, electrical, and structural data
- Evaluate roof condition, layout, shading, and obstructions
- Take measurements, photos, and drone imagery (if applicable)
- Assess main service panels, sub-panels, and electrical infrastructure
- Identify potential installation challenges and code considerations
- Upload and document findings clearly in company systems
- Communicate issues or special requirements to design and operations teams
- Maintain professional interaction with homeowners
Requirements:
- 2 years of solar experience
- Strong knowledge of residential solar systems and installation requirements
- Comfortable working on roofs, ladders, and in attics
- Valid driver's license and reliable transportation
- Strong attention to detail and documentation skills
Preferred Qualifications:
- Electrical or roofing background
- Bilingual (English/Spanish) a plus
