Elevate Office Operations with Velair!
We are seeking a detail-oriented and highly organized Administrative Assistant to support daily office operations, ensure accuracy of key administrative and compliance functions. This position plays an essential role in supporting both internal team members and residents while maintaining a professional, efficient, and welcoming office environment.
Work Schedule: This is a full-time, in-office position with standard hours of Monday through Friday, 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM. Occasional flexibility may be required for office needs or emergencies.
Hourly Pay Range: $26.00 - $29.00 per hour, based on experience.
Location: Minneapolis, MN
Annual Clothing Allowance: $200 per year to be used at the Velair Clothing Store within the designated shopping period.

Essential Duties and Key Responsibilities
- Serve as the main point of contact for the Meridian office, including coordinating meetings and scheduling vendors for repairs.
- Manage daily office needs such as office supplies, coffee and dishwasher maintenance, and incoming/outgoing mail.
- Monitor shared inboxes including Velair Grievances, Velair Training, Velair Reasonable Accommodation, and Info@Velair.
- Serve as the onsite office Notary.
- Process check requests and assist in updating marketing materials.
- Perform other administrative duties as assigned to support community operations and property management teams.
- Maintain accurate resident ledgers (HAP and Non-HAP) by month-end (training provided).
- Prepare and send renewal and recertification notices (120-day, 90-day, and 60-day) to Housing Authorities and residents.
- Monitor and update market rents in Yardi (training provided).
About You
To succeed in this role, you should possess the following skills and attributes:
- Previous administrative experience; background in accounting, bookkeeping, or compliance preferred.
- Strong interpersonal, written, and verbal communication skills.
- Proficient with Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook, and Windows operating systems.
- Yardi software experience preferred.
- Ability to handle multiple priorities with accuracy and professionalism.
- Valid driver’s license and ability to travel locally as needed.
- Ability to lift up to 30 pounds and perform occasional property walk-throughs.
Education & Experience
Required:
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Prior administrative experience
Preferred:
- 1–3 years in administrative support, bookkeeping, accounting, or compliance
- Yardi software experience
- Notary certification (or willing to obtain)

- Valid driver’s license and ability to travel locally as needed.
- Ability to lift up to 30 pounds and conduct occasional property walk-throughs.
- Personal cell phone required for business use (monthly reimbursement provided).
