Vegan By El Zamorano in Costa Mesa, CA is looking for a cook/line cook to join our team! We are Orange County's first and only vegan taqueria. Our ideal candidate is attentive, outgoing, engaged, and someone who provides outstanding customer service.
Responsibilities
- Prepare ingredients including chopping, slicing, marinating, and portioning
- Assist with cooking items needed for daily service
- Set up and stock the line for opening
- Follow recipes and prep lists accurately
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of prep areas, line, and storage
- Properly label, date, and store food items
- Follow food safety and sanitation standards
- Assist with dishwashing or cleaning tasks as needed
- Maintain a clean and tidy work area
- Being a team player!
Qualifications
- Previous kitchen or food prep experience preferred
- Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment
- Strong time management and attention to detail
- Ability to lift up to 40 lbs and stand for extended periods
- Food handler certification (or willingness to obtain)
