Business Systems Analyst with P&C
Location: Plano, TX or Sacramento, CA (Onsite).
Responsibilities
Partner with business stakeholders, product owners, and IT teams to understand objectives, processes, and system needs, translating them into clear functional and system requirements. Lead discovery sessions, interviews, and workshops to document requirements and support solution design that aligns with business goals and long term architecture standards. Analyze existing applications, workflows, and data to identify gaps, inefficiencies, and opportunities for improvement.
Support project delivery by contributing to scope definition, planning, and coordination with project managers, developers, and cross functional teams. Create functional specifications, workflow diagrams, and documentation to guide development and implementation. Define acceptance criteria, support quality assurance activities, and lead user acceptance testing to ensure solutions meet business and technical expectations.
Serve as a trusted liaison between business and technology teams, ensuring clear communication and alignment throughout the delivery lifecycle. Collaborate with data and analytics teams to support data integration, reporting, and dashboard development for operational and strategic insights. Coordinate releases with DevOps and support teams, monitor post launch performance, gather feedback, and drive continuous improvements.
Ensure applications comply with regulatory and security requirements including SOX and PCI DSS by working closely with cybersecurity and risk teams. Support audits, risk assessments, and disaster recovery planning. Stay current with emerging technologies and best practices, proactively recommending enhancements to systems, processes, and tools.
Required Skill
- Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Business, or a related field.
- Minimum of three years of experience in a Business Systems Analyst or similar role.
- Strong analytical and problem solving skills with the ability to document and model business processes and system workflows using tools such as Visio or Lucidchart.
- Experience working with enterprise systems such as ERP and CRM platforms.
- Proficiency with project and delivery tools including Jira, Azure DevOps, or similar platforms.
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to translate complex technical concepts for non technical audiences.
- Working knowledge of regulatory and compliance requirements such as SOX and PCI DSS.
- Knowledge or Experience in P&C is required.
Desired Skill
- Experience with low code platforms, SQL, data visualization, and reporting tools.
- Exposure to cloud native and modern application architectures including microservices, containers, Docker, and Kubernetes.
- Familiarity with DevOps tools and workflows such as Git, Jenkins, and CI CD pipelines.
- Experience supporting data driven decision making through dashboards and analytics.
- Agile or product related certifications such as CSPO, PSPO, or SAFe are a plus.
- Ability to adapt quickly, work independently, and thrive in a fast paced, collaborative environment.
