THIS POSITION:
We are seeking to hire a Combo Flush Truck Operator
GENERAL DESCRIPTION
Assists setting up, driving and operating a combination unit (sewer cleaner) as well as various other equipment in the performance of daily operations. Operates waste hauling vehicles as directed based on operational needs
RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Load and prepare equipment for upcoming jobs. Unload equipment upon arrival on the job. Re-load equipment upon completion of the job and unload equipment upon return to the shop. This includes lifting, carrying and pulling equipment of various size, shape and weight.
- Set up and operate sewer cleaning equipment, high-pressure water jet and positive displacement vacuum system trucks. This includes lifting, carrying and pulling hoses of up to 100 lbs., climbing on to the unit (12' high) for set up and minor maintenance, standing, kneeling or bending for long periods of time.
- Drive any and all vehicles as needed including those with manual and automatic transmissions.
- Set up and operate various hand held and hand operated equipment including power tools, shovels etc.
- Majority of duties take place outside with exposure to all types of weather conditions and terrain on a year-round basis. May be exposed to hazardous materials including raw sewage, noise, fumes, chemicals, etc.
- Places traffic cones and other barricades at job sites; removes manhole covers and examines manhole to determine proper set-up procedure.
- Locates line sections to be cleaned and/or inspected, using map, and determines set up procedures.
- Responsible for his/her own on the job safety and work quality.
- Drive waste hauling vehicles.
- Must have a Class B CDL with Tanker endorsement
- Perform pre-trip and post-trip inspections in accordance with FMCSR guidelines.
- Maintain Hours of Service logs (when required) accurate and up to date.
