Position Summary
The Sheeter Operator is responsible for operating and maintaining sheeting equipment to convert large rolls of paper or paperboard into sheets according to customer specifications. This role is essential to maintaining product quality and meeting daily production goals.
Key Responsibilities
- Set up, operate, and monitor sheeter machines
- Cut rolls into sheets based on specified sizes
- Load paper rolls using proper lifting equipment
- Adjust machine settings (cut length, speed, alignment)
- Inspect finished product for quality (accuracy, squareness, defects)
- Track production data (counts, waste, downtime)
- Perform routine maintenance and cleaning
- Troubleshoot minor mechanical issues
- Follow all safety procedures
- Work with team to meet production targets
Qualifications
- Experience operating sheeting or converting equipment preferred (willing to train the right candidate)
- Mechanical aptitude and troubleshooting skills
- Strong attention to detail
- Dependable and team-oriented
- Comfortable working in a production environment
