Sheeter Helper - 2nd shift - Bilingual preferred

This 2nd shift opening will work from 2-10:30 PM Monday - Friday.  Ability to speak Spanish will be a definite plus.  A sheeter helper is responsible for assisting with the operation and maintenance of a sheeter machine.  A sheeter cuts large rolls of paper into sheets of specific sizes, which are then used for various applications like printing, packaging, and more.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Assisting in the loading of large rolls of paper onto the sheeter and unloading the cut sheets.
• Helping with the setup of the sheeter machine, ensuring it is correctly calibrated and operating smoothly.  This includes adjusting settings for different paper sizes and thicknesses.
• Monitoring the output to ensure that the sheets meet quality standards.  This may involve inspecting for defects, measuring sheet dimensions, and ensuring consistent cuts.  
• Assisting with routine maintenance of the sheeter machine and helping to troubleshoot any issues that arise during operation.
• Following all safety protocols to ensure a safe working environment, which includes proper handling of materials and machinery. 
• Maintaining records of production runs, including the amount of paper processed, any issues encountered, and maintenance performed.
• Working closely with other team members, including machine operators and supervisors, to ensure efficient production flow and to address any problems promptly.  

QUALIFICATIONS: 

• Two years experience in manufacturing/logistics/warehouse - a plus, but not required
• Ability to multitask and prioritize workload, shifting between a variety of tasks as necessary
• Resourceful problem solver with proven ability to bring quick resolution to challenging situations that result in continuous improvement
• Good verbal and written communication skills
• Experience working on a team -  collaborating and communicating with others
• Microsoft Word / Excel
• Forklift Operation Certification, a plus
