Job Duties: AI Integration Engineer – Context Sources (MCP)

Role Summary
- Accelerate the integration of AI development tools with internal and external context sources via Model Context Protocol (MCP) and related mechanisms. Focus on building, validating, and operationalizing context feeds so Morgan Stanley developers can leverage AI tooling against real enterprise context.
- Key Responsibilities
- Design and implement MCP-based integrations that surface internal and external context to AI dev tools.
- Build and validate data flows between source systems (code repos, wikis, ticketing, internal APIs) and AI tooling.
- Evaluate context quality, relevance, and usability; iterate with developer stakeholders.
- Collaborate with security and data stewards on access controls, data classification, and redaction where required.
- Document integration patterns, configuration, and operational considerations for steady-state handover.
- Minimum Skills Required: Required Skills & Experience
- Minimum 2 years hands-on experience with AI-assisted development tools in a professional setting.
- Proficient in Python and/or TypeScript/Node.js; comfortable building server-side integrations and APIs.
- Working knowledge of Model Context Protocol (MCP) or equivalent context-injection patterns for LLM tools.
- Experience building and consuming REST/GraphQL APIs, handling auth, pagination, and rate limiting.
- Familiarity with retrieval/search concepts (vector stores, BM25, embeddings) at a practitioner level.
- On-site at Alpharetta, GA.
Preferred / Nice-to-Have
- Prior work with RAG architectures, hybrid retrieval, or knowledge graph integrations.
- Experience with enterprise content platforms (Confluence, SharePoint, Bitbucket/GitHub Enterprise, Jira).
- Exposure to LangChain, LangGraph, or similar orchestration frameworks.
- Financial services experience.
