What You’ll Do
The attorney selected for this role will be involved in sophisticated public company and M&A transactions, including:
- Leading M&A transactions from inception through closing, including deal structuring, negotiation, and execution
- Serving as a primary client contact and advising on legal, strategic, and business considerations
- Drafting and negotiating principal transaction agreements
- Handling high-stakes negotiations
- Supervising and mentoring junior associates and paralegals through all phases of deal work
- Coordinating with specialists across the firm to address complex transactional issues
- Managing post-closing matters, including purchase price adjustments, integration issues, and dispute resolution
- Working with clients across a broad range of industries on sophisticated domestic and cross-border transactions
- JD from an accredited law school
- Admission to the Florida Bar
- 6–8 years of corporate transactional experience
- Strong M&A experience, preferably from a leading law firm
- Demonstrated ability to independently manage all aspects of a transaction
- Excellent drafting, negotiation, leadership, and communication skills
- Strong client management skills
- Ability to lead deal teams and collaborate effectively with attorneys across practice areas and offices
- Significant experience with cross-border and multi-jurisdictional transactions
- Experience representing public companies or handling public company M&A matters
- Prior experience at a large law firm or sophisticated corporate transactional practice
