Key Responsibilities:
Lead day-to-day health, safety, and environmental compliance efforts across the manufacturing facility, ensuring adherence to all applicable OSHA and EPA regulations.
Conduct thorough risk assessments and hazard analyses on the production floor, identifying potential safety gaps and implementing corrective actions before incidents occur.
Design, coordinate, and deliver safety training programs for employees at all levels, ensuring workforce competency and regulatory compliance.
Develop and continuously improve facility-wide safety initiatives, standard operating procedures, and emergency response protocols.
Serve as the primary on-site safety resource, maintaining a strong physical presence across all areas of the facility to monitor conditions and engage directly with employees.
Build and maintain relationships with local regulatory authorities and safety stakeholders to facilitate smooth inspections, permitting, and compliance processes.
Requirements:
Demonstrated HSE experience in a manufacturing or construction environment, with a proven track record of managing compliance and driving safety culture improvements.
Working knowledge of OSHA and EPA regulatory frameworks as they apply to industrial and manufacturing operations.
Experience conducting risk assessments, incident investigations, and root cause analyses in a fast-paced production setting.
Strong ability to develop and deliver safety training programs tailored to diverse employee audiences on the shop floor.
Comfort and commitment to working primarily on-site — this role requires approximately 85% presence on the production floor with minimal remote or office-based time.
Established local relationships with regulatory agencies, fire marshals, or environmental authorities in the greater Houston area are a significant plus.
