Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP)
Location: Wilmington, DE 19803
Travel Pay: Up to $2,300/week (Negotiable based on experience and qualifications)
Local Pay: Up to $50/hour on W2 (Negotiable based on experience and qualifications)
Contract Length: 13 Weeks (Possibility of Extension)
Schedule: Monday–Friday | 8:00 AM – 4:00 PM | Approx. 40 Hours/Week (36 Hours Guaranteed)

Job Overview
We're seeking a compassionate and skilled Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) to join a collaborative rehabilitation team in Wilmington, DE. In this role, you'll evaluate and treat patients with speech, language, cognitive, and swallowing disorders while helping them improve communication, independence, and overall quality of life.
Responsibilities
- Evaluate patients and develop individualized treatment plans.
- Provide skilled speech, language, cognitive, and swallowing therapy.
- Document evaluations, treatment sessions, progress notes, and discharge summaries accurately and in a timely manner.
- Maintain accurate patient records and ensure proper therapy billing.
- Monitor patient progress and modify treatment plans as needed.
- Educate patients, families, and caregivers on therapy goals and home exercise programs.
- Collaborate with physicians, nursing staff, and the interdisciplinary care team.
- Participate in patient care conferences and facility meetings.
- Supervise speech therapy assistants or support personnel, when applicable.
- Assist with staff education, in-services, and community outreach activities.
- Maintain compliance with facility policies, Medicare regulations, and professional practice standards.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Qualifications
- Master's Degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited program.
- Current Delaware Speech-Language Pathologist license.
- ASHA Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC-SLP) or eligibility to obtain.
- Strong clinical, communication, and documentation skills.
