Position Overview
An established healthcare system in Beckley, WV is seeking an experienced Nursing Director (RN) for Surgical Services. This leader will oversee perioperative operations, ensure compliance with regulatory standards, and drive quality, safety, and efficiency across all surgical departments.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide operational and clinical leadership for Surgical Services, including OR, PACU, Pre-Op, and related perioperative areas.
- Implement and uphold standards aligned with AORN, ASPAN, CMS, Joint Commission, and internal regulatory requirements.
Must-Have Qualifications
- Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN)
- Current West Virginia RN license (or eligibility for immediate licensure)
- 5–7 years of perioperative nursing experience, including OR leadership or management roles
- Strong understanding of perioperative standards (AORN, ASPAN) and federal/regulatory guidelines (CMS, Joint Commission)
- BLS and ACLS certifications (or ability to obtain within a defined timeframe)
