What You’ll Do
- Prepare and post journal entries, accruals, and reclassifications in compliance with company policies and GAAP.
- Perform general ledger account reconciliations and investigate variances or discrepancies.
- Support month-end, quarter-end, and year-end closing activities, ensuring deadlines are met.
- Prepare and analyze financial statements and reports to ensure accuracy and completeness.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams (e.g., FP&A, supply chain, manufacturing) to ensure correct accounting treatment for business activities.
- Monitor inventory and cost of goods sold (COGS) transactions; assist with inventory accounting and reconciliations.
- Assist in fixed asset tracking, depreciation schedules, and capital expenditure accounting.
- Support internal and external audits by preparing schedules, responding to inquiries, and ensuring documentation is complete.
- Maintain and document internal controls in accordance with SOX requirements or other regulatory frameworks.
- Identify and assist in implementing process improvements to enhance efficiency and accuracy.
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance required.
- CPA or CPA candidate preferred.
- Advanced knowledge of Excel; experience with ERP systems (e.g., SAP, Oracle, NetSuite) required.
- Training or familiarity with SOX/internal controls is a plus.
- 4 years of progressive accounting experience, preferably in a manufacturing, medical device, or life sciences environment.
- Strong understanding of US GAAP and general ledger accounting principles.
- Experience with inventory, fixed assets, and cost accounting.
- Proven ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
- Detail-oriented with a commitment to accuracy and process improvement.
- Comfortable working independently and as part of a collaborative accounting team.
- Ability to work on site in an office environment
