Position Overview
The Payroll Administrator is responsible for managing all aspects of payroll processing, ensuring employees are paid accurately and on time while maintaining compliance with federal, state, and local regulations.
Core Responsibilities
- Process bi-weekly payroll with a high level of accuracy
- Collect, review, and validate employee timekeeping data
- Ensure proper calculation of wages, including bonuses, commissions, and overtime
- Manage payroll tax withholdings and ensure compliance with all regulations
- Prepare and support quarterly and annual reporting (including W-2s)
- Administer employee deductions (benefits, 401(k), garnishments, reimbursements)
- Maintain organized and secure digital payroll and HR records (Google Drive)
- Serve as the primary point of contact for payroll-related inquiries
- Support onboarding and employee setup functions within Paylocity
Requirements
Qualifications
- Minimum 5 years of payroll administration experience
- Strong proficiency in Paylocity (required)
- Experience with ADP, Paychex, Workday, or QuickBooks is a plus
- Exceptional attention to detail and accuracy
- Solid understanding of payroll processes, taxes, and compliance requirements
- Strong organizational and communication skills
- Ability to work independently and meet deadlines
Preferred Credentials
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field
- Certified Payroll Professional (CPP) or Fundamental Payroll Certification (FPC)
