This role will be responsible for supporting existing applications, developing new Oracle APEX solutions, and assisting with the migration of legacy PL/SQL Web Toolkit applications to modern, scalable architectures.
Key Responsibilities
- Design, develop, test, and maintain enterprise applications using Oracle APEX.
- Create and optimize SQL queries, PL/SQL packages, stored procedures, functions, triggers, and database objects.
- Support Oracle Database environments including Oracle 11g, 18c, and 19c.
- Develop secure, scalable, and high-performing web applications using Oracle APEX best practices.
- Support and modernize legacy applications built using the Oracle PL/SQL Web Toolkit.
- Participate in application migration and modernization initiatives from legacy platforms to Oracle APEX.
- Develop and maintain integrations using RESTful and SOAP web services.
- Enhance front-end user experience through JavaScript and jQuery development.
- Troubleshoot application and database performance issues.
- Collaborate with business stakeholders, analysts, and technical teams to gather requirements and deliver solutions.
- Implement security controls and best practices for the protection of Personally Identifiable Information (PII) and Protected Health Information (PHI).
- Ensure compliance with organizational security standards and applicable regulations, including HIPAA requirements.
- Prepare technical documentation, design specifications, and deployment procedures.
Oracle Database
- Minimum 5 years of experience supporting Oracle database-driven enterprise applications.
- Experience with Oracle 11g, Oracle 18c, and Oracle 19c environments.
- Strong understanding of database design, performance tuning, and optimization.
- Minimum 5 years of hands-on experience with:
- SQL development
- PL/SQL programming
- Stored Procedures

- Database performance optimization
- Minimum 5 years of experience developing applications using Oracle Application Express (APEX).
- Experience creating secure, scalable, and responsive enterprise applications.
- Minimum 5 years of experience with JavaScript and/or jQuery.
- Experience enhancing user interfaces and modernizing web application functionality.
Oracle PL/SQL Web Toolkit
- Minimum 2 years of experience supporting or developing Oracle PL/SQL Web Toolkit applications.
- Experience migrating legacy PL/SQL Web Toolkit applications to Oracle APEX.
- Minimum 2 years of experience with:
- RESTful APIs
- SOAP Web Services
- System-to-system integrations
- Experience handling sensitive data, including:
- PII (Personally Identifiable Information)
- PHI (Protected Health Information)
- Knowledge of HIPAA compliance and secure software development practices.
- Oracle Application Development Framework knowledge.
- Oracle performance tuning and query optimization.
- Experience with application lifecycle management and deployment practices.
- Familiarity with Agile/Scrum development methodologies.
- Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Information Systems, or a related field.
