Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- Manage and coordinate the day to day activities of the Distribution Center Loss Prevention function.
- Manage, direct, and develop Loss Prevention staff providing development direction and feedback to hourly associates on performance of daily duties
- Administer shrink reduction programs in partnership with Operations Management and Senior Loss Prevention staff. Execute shrink reduction initiatives in areas of awareness, audits, and training.
- Investigate incidents, accidents, and situations that may affect the assets of the company and partnering with Operations Supervisors to ensure compliance with all Security/Loss Prevention processes and procedures. Complete written reports related to investigations.
- Inspect security systems and controls to ensure merchandise, the building, and associates are protected. Report critical exceptions to include coordination of repair and upkeep of all CCTV equipment.
- Participate in safety committees, shrink committees, and operations meetings.
- Monitor and respond to alarms and alarm security problems
- Oversee and maintain all perimeter security and access control to ensure a safe and secure environment.
- Schedule Distribution Center Loss Prevention personnel to ensure adequate coverage 24 hours a day.
- Effectively manage supply and payroll budgets while remaining within assigned guidelines.
- Coordinate background checks for all new security personnel.
Education and Experience Requirements:
· Work Experience – 3-4 years relevant experience in a Distribution center setting
· Education – High School diploma or GED
Skills and Knowledge Requirements:
- Strong leadership, communication, and mathematic skills
- Working knowledge of computer based security surveillance systems
- Team-oriented attitude and work style
- Must be able to work in a distribution center environment where extreme temperature fluctuations are possible, noise levels may be increased, and exposure to potential confrontational situations arising from enforcing Loss Prevention Policies and Procedures
