Summary: The Fleet Service Center Parts Sales and Administrative Support position plays a key role in supporting the

daily operations of a busy truck and trailer body repair facility. This position is responsible for assisting customers with

parts sales orders, managing location inventory, vendor relationships, Accounts receivables and performing a variety

of administrative tasks to ensure smooth workflow in the office and shop.

 

Essential Duties and Responsibilities (listed from most important to least important)

· Assist customers in identifying, quoting, and ordering parts via structured in person sales calls along

with phone and email marketing.

· Prospect new accounts and making financial business decisions to secure and retain accounts

· Prepare purchase orders, parts sales orders, and invoices accurately and efficiently.

· Maintain inventory control by receiving, inspecting, stocking, and tracking parts.

· Coordinate with vendors to confirm pricing, availability, and delivery timelines.

· Manage returns, warranty claims, and core exchanges.

· Manage accounts receivables.

· Provide administrative support including billing, filing, data entry, and scheduling.

· Answer phones, greet customers, and provide a professional and courteous experience.

· Support management with reports and operational documentation.

· Maintain a clean and organized parts and office area.
 

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities (required and/or preferred)

· Knowledge of truck and trailer components preferred.

· Strong organizational and multitasking abilities in a fast-paced environment.

· Excellent communication and customer service skills.

· Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Outlook, Word) and inventory/order management software.

· Ability to prioritize tasks and maintain accuracy under pressure.

· Detail-oriented with strong data entry and recordkeeping skills.
 

Education and Experience (required and/or preferred)

· High school diploma or equivalent required; associate degree preferred.

· Requires a valid driver’s license with a driving record that meets company insurance and safety

standards

· 1–3 years of experience in parts sales, service writing, or administrative support (truck/trailer or

automotive industry preferred).

Physical Demands

· While performing the duties of this job, the employee may be required to routinely sit, stand, walk, talk, and

hear, use hands and fingers to keyboard, turn handles, feel, stoop, kneel, crouch, twist, crawl, reach, and

stretch.

· The employee occasionally moves around the office and enters the manufacturing areas.

· Specific vision abilities required for this job include close vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth

perception, and ability to adjust focus.

· The employee may occasionally lift and/or move up to 30 lbs.
