What are the responsibilities and job description for the National Account Manager position at Variety Staffing?
POSITION RESPONSIBILITIES
A. Develop and implement territory sales and marketing plans to achieve aggressive business plan objectives.
B. Generate new business by establishing relationships with buying teams at Sam’s/WMT as well as other accounts
C. Maintain ongoing account relationships, keeping customers informed of new products and trends in the industry and driving continued sales growth.
D. Provide ongoing market analysis including market trends and competitive opportunities in the territory.
E. Understand the power and influence of a brand in the marketplace.
F. Represent at trade shows and conventions.
G. Follow up on leads for potential customers, both in person and on the phone.
H. Maintain a professional image of the company; always maintain professionalism, tact, diplomacy, and sensitivity to portray the company in a positive manner.
POSITION REQUIREMENTS – EDUCATION, SKILLS, BACKGROUND, & EXPERIENCE
A. Bachelor’s Degree
B. Minimum of five years of demonstrated success developing and managing accounts.
C. Must be trained in Walmart and Sam’s Club systems, including RetailLink/Luminate, Item 360, NOVA and other WMT specific portals
D. Very strong communication and organization skills.
E. Experience using Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.
F. 3 years of direct experience calling on Walmart and/or Sams Club
G. Understanding of ecom selling, including 1P and 3P.
H. Strong knowledge of Walmart internal culture and lexicon
