What are the responsibilities and job description for the Production Associate position at VARC, Inc?
Production Associate - Working up to 30 hours per week; Mon - Friday normal first shift hours.
Job Summary
Directed and supervised by the Production Supervisor or Division Supervisor, the Production Associate is responsible for assembling and packaging product according to Customer Specification.
Essential Functions
1. Follows instructions for packaging and assembly.
2. Read and process detailed written orders, may communicate these to other team members as requested.
3. Produce quality work output on a consistent basis with high productivity on assigned jobs.
4. Practice safety awareness while on the job to reduce risk of injury to self or others.
5. Visually inspects products for defects, setting aside defective items and identify as instructed.
6. Place identification labels on carton or complete skid per customer orders.
7. Assist in keeping accurate records of production and hours on job.
8. Report all discrepancies to supervisor.
9. May act as a material handler in moving materials to production line.
10. Practice good housekeeping habits throughout the facility.
11. Completes 60 day Limited Term Employment Orientation Period, when applicable.
12. Accept other duties as assigned.

Qualifications
Job may require standing or sitting for full shift. Ability to keep up with moderate speed lines. Manual dexterity required; exposure to arm and wrist fatigue. Job may require use of automatic baggers, blister packaging, air tools for screwing and buffing, heat sealing, shrink wrapping, weigh counting parts, pallet wrapping, and moving devices. Ability to lift 25 lbs. on a regular basis.
Pay: $12.25 per hour
