About The Role
As the founding GTM Solutions Engineer, you’ll partner with Enterprise and Mid-Market Account Executives to accelerate technical validation and solution design for voice agents built on Vapi. You’ll be the technical face of Vapi in the field, guiding prospects through discovery, demos, architecture discussions, and proof-of-concept design to help close strategic deals.
This role is purely pre-sales: you’ll focus on enabling prospects to see the value of Vapi, while our implementation and customer success teams own deployment and ongoing support.

About The Role

What You’ll Do
- Partner with Account Executives to drive adoption among Vapi’s most strategic prospects, helping them understand and validate Vapi’s technical capabilities.
- Lead pre-sales discovery sessions, technical scoping, and architecture whiteboarding.
- Deliver tailored demos and solution presentations that align with business outcomes.
- Collaborate with forward-deployed engineering and product teams to capture field feedback and influence roadmap priorities.
- Serve as the trusted technical advisor to prospects, removing blockers to adoption and accelerating deal cycles.
- 3 years in solutions/sales engineering or solution architecture at a B2B SaaS company.
- Strong business acumen and commercial awareness with excellent communication and presentation skills.
- Proven ability to thrive in fast-paced environments and engage with multiple stakeholders.
- Hands-on experience with modern web stacks (TypeScript/Node, REST/GraphQL), cloud platforms, and ideally telephony or WebRTC.
- Nice-to-have: consulting background (McKinsey, Bain, BCG), CS/Engineering degree, or prior work with AI/voice technologies.
