About The Role
As a Backend Product Engineer, you’ll design and scale the systems that power real-time voice AI for hundreds of thousands of developers. Your work will focus on reliability, performance, and security—ensuring Vapi can meet enterprise-grade demands while innovating quickly.
What You’ll Do
Strong backend fundamentals, with experience in distributed systems, APIs, and cloud infrastructure 3 years of backend engineering, with at least 1 year at a startup (Proven track record shipping complex features to production at scale Comfortable balancing speed with rigor in system design and security Self-starter who thrives in dynamic, fast-moving environments

About The Role
As a Backend Product Engineer, you’ll design and scale the systems that power real-time voice AI for hundreds of thousands of developers. Your work will focus on reliability, performance, and security—ensuring Vapi can meet enterprise-grade demands while innovating quickly.
