Job Overview
We are seeking a passionate and dedicated Occupational Therapist to join our Vantage team. You will assess, plan, and implement personalized therapy programs to enhance the functional independence and quality of life for pediatric populations. Your expertise will help children of various ages and abilities overcome challenges related to disabilities, injuries, or health conditions, fostering empowerment and resilience every step of the way.
Duties
- Conduct comprehensive evaluations of patients’ physical, cognitive, and emotional functioning using specialized assessments and medical terminology.
- Develop and implement tailored care plans
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams—including speech therapists, physicians, nurses, and educators—to coordinate effective treatment strategies.
- Assist patients with mobility, self-care techniques, and adaptive equipment to promote independence in various settings such as clinic, schools, or home environments.
- Manage case documentation meticulously, including progress notes, treatment plans, and discharge summaries aligned with physiology knowledge and anatomy expertise.
- Engage in early intervention programs for pediatric populations and work with individuals with autism or disabilities to optimize developmental outcomes.
Requirements
- Master’s degree in Occupational Therapy from an accredited program; licensure or certification as required by state or national regulations.
- Proven experience working across diverse settings such clinics, home health or school environments.
- Strong knowledge of medical terminology, physiology, anatomy, and therapeutic techniques relevant to pediatric care
- Experience assisting with ADLs, discharge planning, case management, and working with individuals with autism or disabilities.
- Familiarity with pediatrics, home health services, and outpatient therapy modalities.
- Ability to communicate effectively with patients of all ages while demonstrating a lively and motivating approach to therapy.
- Demonstrated skill in developing comprehensive care plans that address patient needs holistically across multiple disciplines.
