Dealership Accounts Payable Clerk

Responsibilities

• Checks all vouchers and obtains appropriate payment approval.
• Prepares accounts payable checks.
• Posts all open items in accounts payable on a daily basis.
• Reconcile statement and the ledger making sure that payments are consistent with dealership schedules.
• Communicate cash requirements for payable dates to the office manager.
• Answer all vendor inquiries.
• Assist in monthly closings.
• Prepare analysis of accounts, as required.
• Fill in for other administrative positions as needed and directed by management.
• Maintain clean workspace and professional appearance.
• Complete training as assigned by dealer and manufacturer.
• Process and post payments accurately and timely
• Prepare and distribute invoices and accounts statements
• Monitor accounts to ensure timely payment and follow up on outstanding balances
• Reconcile customer accounts and resolve payment discrepancies
• Maintain accurate and financial records and documentation
• process refunds, credits, and adjustments as needed
• respond to inquiries regarding billing and payment issues
• Collaborate with internal departments to resolve billing concerns
• Other tasks as assigned.

Requirements

• Accounting experience (Required)
• Automotive dealership experience (Preferred)
• Accounts Receivables experience (Preferred)
• Proficient with Microsoft Excel and Word
• Strong attention to detail and ability to multi-task
• Reliable with a good work ethic and problem-solving skills
• Team player with a positive attitude
• Pre-employment screening required: candidates must successfully pass a drug screening and background check, as well as provide two forms of government ID
