What are the responsibilities and job description for the Territory Manager, SUD position at Vanguard Labs LLC?
You will drive the growth of Shift's SUD program by building relationships with referral partners, executing a territory-level go-to-market strategy, and improving access to care. You will own your territory end to end and have a direct role in shaping how Shift engages partners across the SUD care continuum.
What you will do
- Develop and execute a territory-level go-to-market strategy focused on growing the SUD program.
- Build deep, trust-based relationships with higher and lower level-of-care SUD referral partners.
- Conduct in-field outreach 4 to 5 days per week, meeting with referral partners to educate them on Shift's SUD and mental health programs.
- Identify barriers to treatment and collaborate with referral sources to improve access to care for individuals in need.
- Shape how Shift engages partners in key SUD settings: detox centers, residential treatment centers, rehabilitation facilities, sober living, EAPs, unions, first-responder wellness programs, and other
SUD-focused organizations.
- Represent Shift in community settings, industry events, conferences, and educational sessions to build awareness of the program.
- Collect and synthesize partner feedback to refine messaging, positioning, and execution.
- Work cross-functionally with clinical, intake, operations, and marketing teams to achieve growth goals within the SUD channel.
Qualifications
- 4 or more years of proven sales or business development experience; healthcare or behavioral health outreach preferred.
- Familiarity with the SUD treatment ecosystem and existing community ties strongly preferred.
- Exceptional interpersonal, communication, and organizational skills.
- Based in California and able to be in the field 4 to 5 days per week.

Compensation
- Base salary of $110,000 plus benefits and a performance-based bonus.
- Founding go-to-market hire with real ownership and a direct line to the founder.
