What are the responsibilities and job description for the Bookkeeper position at Vanguard Group Staffing, Inc.?
The ideal candidate will be responsible for performing accounting and administrative duties. You will support our business growth and accounting department by processing invoices, transactions, expenses as well as updating our accounting database. This position will give you the opportunity to grow your accounting knowledge and experience.
Responsibilities
- Responsible for managing the day-to-day operations of the company's AP/AR functions
- Process invoices and daily transactions and expenses
- Perform administrative support functions
- Update and maintain accounting database with data entry and reports
- Handle monthly and quarterly reports
- Reconcile vendor statements and resolve discrepancies
- Respond to vendor and customer inquiries in a timely manner
- Assist with month-end and year-end closing processes, including bank and credit card reconciliations.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's Degree in Accounting or a related field of study preferred
- 2-5 years' of experience working in Accounting
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Highly detail-oriented with excellent analytical skills
